Our famous “Make Your Neighbors Jealous Wreaths” are something to be proud of displaying each Christmas! These wreaths are hand made from greens harvested on our farm as well as dried flowers from our farm in Mills River, NC. You can’t get more local then that and it’s completely natural decor! Let’s make sure those wreaths last the entire season and beyond!!
Here are a few tips to keep them fresh:
Keep It Hydrated
Fresh wreaths need water - just like cut Christmas trees! Misting it with a spray bottle every few days will help keep the greenery fresh for as long as possible. I like to spray the backside pretty heavily and then lightly mist the fronts while trying to avoid the dried flower accents.
Avoid Direct Heat
Keep your wreath away from heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, or sunny spots, which can dry it out quickly. But if they are in these areas be sure the wreath gets even more hydration sprays! If we only want to enjoy these wreaths for a few weeks they’ll be fine.
Give It a Shady Spot
Hanging your wreath in a cool, shady spot will help it last longer. Ideally fresh wreaths do better outside. Also live greenery does best when it’s colder outside with some moisture in the air. Some winters you may notice they naturally just last longer.

There’s products out there like “Wilt Pruf” that you can spray on the greens that essential helps them with moisture retention. It may be worth a try if you intend to display your wreath inside.
🎄Follow these steps and your live wreath will stay looking beautiful much longer then you need it to. My mother has been known to keep hers up till Valentine’s Day! And don’t worry if you don’t spray your wreath it’ll still look great on Christmas Day! These are just some tips to get a much longer life out of them!
Pick out your wreath this year at our annual “Christmas at the Shack” December 1-10
